1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ScreenCraft's API services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Services.

2. Description of Services

ScreenCraft provides a REST API for generating screenshots and PDF documents from web pages and HTML content. Our Services include:

Screenshot generation from URLs and HTML
PDF generation from URLs and HTML
Webhook notifications for async operations
Dashboard for API key management and usage analytics

3. Account Registration

To use our Services, you must:

Create an account with accurate information
Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
Keep your API keys confidential and secure
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use our Services to:

Capture content without proper authorization
Generate screenshots of illegal or harmful content
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Infringe on intellectual property rights
Distribute malware or engage in phishing
Overload or disrupt our infrastructure
Circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions
Resell our Services without authorization
Generate content that is defamatory, obscene, or harmful

5. Rate Limits and Fair Use

Each plan includes specific rate limits. Exceeding these limits may result in throttling or temporary suspension. We reserve the right to modify rate limits with 30 days notice.

6. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance
All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
We may change pricing with 30 days notice
Failed payments may result in service suspension
Taxes are not included and are your responsibility

7. Intellectual Property

Our Property: ScreenCraft retains all rights to our API, documentation, trademarks, and other intellectual property.

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you submit. By using our Services, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Services.

Output: Generated screenshots and PDFs belong to you, subject to any third-party rights in the captured content.

8. API Availability and SLA

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced 48 hours in advance when possible.

Enterprise customers may be eligible for SLA credits. See your Enterprise agreement for details.

9. Data Processing

Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree to our data practices.

For EU customers, we offer a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) upon request.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCREENCRAFT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ScreenCraft and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

By You: You may terminate your account at any time through the dashboard.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your access for:

Violation of these Terms
Non-payment
Fraudulent or illegal activity
At our discretion with 30 days notice

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Data may be deleted after 30 days.

14. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or service notification at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].

16. General Provisions

Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ScreenCraft.
Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Waiver: Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver.
